Dorset County Museum aims to enhance education through the imaginative use of
the Museum and its resources. The Museum is used extensively by schools both from
within the County and on residential field trips and day visits. Workshops are
offered on the Romans, Victorians, Geology, Literature and special exhibitions,
and children are often offered the opportunity to handle real Museum objects.
Worksheets on a wide range of subjects are also available. We
are grateful to Mr S R Pastore for funding the purchase of AV equipment in the
schools’ room. To book a school visit
