Schools Visiting Dippy
The Natural History Museum’s famous Diplodocus, known as Dippy, will be at Dorset County Museum between 19th February and 10th May 2018 and we’re thrilled to be working with Jurassic Coast Trust to offer schools a unique and exciting opportunity to visit him.
Premium School Package
There are no premium slots available to school groups larger than 30 pupils. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org directly if you would like to make a booking.
Our sessions will be aimed at Foundation, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Each session will last just under 2 hours and will include 3 fun and engaging activities which will be delivered by staff and volunteers from Jurassic Coast Trust and Dorset County Museum.
- Morning Session: 10.00 – 11.45 (max 90 pupils)
- Afternoon Session: 12.15 – 14.00 (max. 90 pupils)
Standard School Package
We’re delighted to offer schools FREE visits to see Dippy up close. 45 minutes slots are available. You’ll be able to see Dippy in the Victorian Hall and explore the museum’s temporary exhibition, all un-guided.
- Mondays and Fridays ONLY during term time
- 60 minute slots (max. 60 pupils), between 10.00 and 14.00 available
- FREE un-guided school visits to Dippy and temporary exhibition only
Group Visits to see Dippy
